What does customer service mean to a yoga student?
It means being seen. Looked in the eye. Recognized by name. Being taught a class that is appropriate for them. Receiving personal feedback. Feeling comfortable asking questions. Getting direction about how to best move forward in their practice. 

Students, particularly beginning students, need guidance. 
They need direction to stay on track. Inspiration to continue returning. Motivation to grow their practice. It is your job as their teacher — through your instruction and in moments outside of conducting class — to guide your student to progress in their practice in a sustainable way. How often should they attend class? Which classes are best for them? What payment options can save them money?  

This includes helping students choose the class plan that best suits their needs while saving them money. This is especially important when there is no front desk. This is not selling, but helping them make the right choice. Once clear on  their best option, students make their own class purchases on our website. If a student needs further help, email our Studio Manager with their name and she will contact them directly to help them make their purchase.

Our Pricing Strategy
We believe highly trained, committed, professional teachers like yourself should be paid well — while at the same time we want to make yoga affordable. To that end, we have created a clear cut, three-step path for students that saves them money while building engagement with their yoga and you, their teacher.  This strategy results in most of our students being members.  Being a member means they pay one monthly price to attend a certain number of classes each month.  The more they come, the more they save.  It is rare among studios that such a high percentage of students are members, and speaks to the commitment of our community. This loyalty is good for the studio, the teachers and the students.   Learn our pricing strategy. 
 
New Students
First time students appear on the Mind Body roster with a green star next to their name. New students are like gold.  We have one chance to inspire them to continue studying with us. For this reason, we take extra care with our first-timers. 

Review Welcoming Studio First-Timers. Our Studio Director will follow-up to schedule a short training on how to welcome new students.

Scholarships and Free Classes. We don’t want money to stand between our students and their yoga if we can help it. In an effort to make yoga more accessible we offer weekly free and/or sliding scale classes. We also extend partial- or full- scholarships for membership based on need.
