JANE BRUNETTE
Jane Brunette is an author and teacher.  She has written two books of poetry, Cartoon Kali and Grasshopper Guru, and teaches and writes about meditation, spiritual practice and creating a soulful life in challenging times. Her Writing from the Soul workshops have  sprouted groups around the world, and she offers classes and retreats on meditation and writing as a spiritual practice. In addition, she mentors writers who want to expand their capacity for articulation and deep inner sensing.
More about Jane.

"As a shy and unbounded kid, I discovered that writing was the best way for me to reveal myself to others, and also a reliable way to connect with the deepest part of myself — the part I would now call my soul." ~ Jane Burnette

Writing can be used as a way to experience the soul.  Jane Brunette created her Writing from the Soul workshops to share key principles and practices for using the mind of meditation to access the natural stream of expression, loosening the grip of the critical mind so that expression can flow freely.

"When writing comes from the soul," Jane explains, "it doesn’t matter whether someone is skilled as a writer,  or original, or grammatical, or poetic. If the writing is soulful, it stirs me, moves me, makes me want to live with depth — makes me appreciate being human."

"I see the “soul” as the place in each of us
where a particular humanness
meets the vastness of truth."
