Join the Zen Hospice Project  for this powerful weekend on meeting the challenges of  care-taking mindfully, compassionately, sustainably.   Renowned for their ground-breaking work in conscientious care-taking, members of the Zen Hospice Project will lead us through a weekend of  expert instruction, group discussion, and engaging exercises grounded in mindfulness meditation, the cornerstone of loving care.  A weekend that could change your life — past, present and future.

Roy Remer, Director of Education and Training, has been a part of the Zen Hospice Project community since 1997.  He has conducted hundreds of classes for those who are caring for the ill and dying.  Roy is a graduate of the Metta Institute End-of-Life Caregiver Training.

​Mindfulness thru Caregiving.  
Learn a framework and language to evolve personally as you care for others.

The Model of the Mindful Caregiver:  
Identify key qualities we aspire to as caregivers and how to grow these qualities in a deep, meaningful way.  

Loss and Caregiving:  Together we will examine how our relationship to loss may influence our caregiving, and how  the growing sense of  loss unfolding in those for whom we care can be identified and held.

Cultivating Compassion: Learn 
about common barriers to expressing compassion toward ourselves and others, and discover ways to overcome such barriers.
