"Youth is the gift of nature, but age is a work of art."
— Stanislaw Jerzy Lec BOOMING: Yoga for the Third Third, is a programming commitment of Mountain Yoga to present classes, talks, workshops, intensives and retreats that support mid-life to life's end. Programs that help us to live well as we live long.
A hundred years ago the average American lived to be 49. We now live thirty years longer on average. This span from the age of menopause to end of life is now being referred to as "the third third." Baby Boomers, the generation renowned for creativity, innovation, and initiative, are now riding this stretch of road — traveling with top down and the radio cranked. Aging their way, "booming!" Check out our many classes geared to yogis and yoginis in the the third third of life, including Yoga for 50+, Gentle Yoga, Feldenkrais and classes with Dr. Baxter Bell, author of "Yoga for Healthy Aging." |
