thai massage & partner yoga with domonick wegesin Sunday, November 16, 1:00-3:30pm
Our technologically-based lives provide a paucity of physical connection, though it is clear that humans need touch to thrive and flourish. In this workshop you will give and receive healing touch through the practices of Partner Yoga and Thai Massage. Thai Massage is sometimes referred to as “lazy man’s yoga”, because the recipient is moved through yoga-like poses to mobilize the joints and stretch the muscles. You will find ways to release into poses with ease, while still achieving a fuller expression of each pose with your partner's help.
No experience is required. Domonick will provide clear, easy-to-follow directions to create a safe environment for your exploration. You will leave the workshop feeling the bliss of having had a great yoga practice as well as a great massage. We strongly encourage you to sign up with a practice partner.
Domonick Wegesin, PhD, LMT, studied Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and has practiced the art as a Licensed Massage Therapist for the last eight years. He also incorporates mindfulness into this teaching, encouraging students to notice their power to choose how to be with themselves and others moment-to-moment. He delights in witnessing participants nurture each other through these partner-based modalities.
Payments are non-refundable. Cancellations must be received within 72 hours prior to workshop for yoga class credit (minus $10 processing fee).
