David & Eric have taught these practices at various conferences and workshops around the world — and now here they are, right in your own backyard! Join these two dyanmic and charismatic teachers as they unite to share their love for these essential traditions. The Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar) is a mainstay of modern yoga and the Moon Saluation (Chandra Namaskar) is lesser known, yet both contain mysteries. Why were they made? Why do we show devotion to the sun and moon? Why is the Sun Salutation so central to today’s practice, yet the Moon Salutation secondary?
In this workshop, you will learn the seed mantras (Bijas) and names of sun (Paadas) that are chanted in the Sun Salute—as well as the story and purpose behind Surya and Chandra Namaskar’s creation in Indian history. We’ll discover how the Sun Salutation and Moon Salutation’s became a part of Modern Yoga (it’s not what you think!) and gain new insights into each posture in their series—as well as discover how the postures link together in powerful ways. Expect to a deep, comprehensive practice of both body and brain as we explore the richness of these well-loved vinyasa forms. Suitable for all levels.
