Are you wondering about meditation, perhaps considering how to integrate it with your yoga asana practice? Then you will enjoy this workshop. Yoga, Buddhism and other wisdom traditions teach us that meditation is a vital key to a balanced, fully human, life.
Whether you have a meditation practice or are new to it, this workshop will give you a way to move from energizing asana through receptive, quieting poses, to awareness of the breath, to sitting in the heart of stillness. We will explore how to combine these elements in a daily practice that supports our inner and outer well-being. We’ll also look bringing mindfulness into daily life, to the benefit of ourselves and others.
Mary Wade began teaching meditation and yoga with Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programs in 1997. She continues to study asana, meditation, pranayama, insight dialogue and Yogic and Buddhist philosophies with the Insight Yoga Institute, founded by Sarah and Ty Powers.
