intermediate series

inter-mediate practice
Thursdays 9-10:30am

4-wk series w/ann dyer
January 8-29

6-wk series w/jin sung
February 5 thru March 12

The Intermediate Practice Series is designed for experienced yoga practitioners who are interested in deepening their asana practice, while learning more about the role of asana plays in the larger tradition of yoga.  Challenges experienced in transitioning into an intermediate asana practice are covered, like how to approach deep squats, full backbends, inversions, balances and more. Included are the more subtle practices that traditionally follow asana, including pranayama, chant, and meditation.  In addition, you will learn about the origins of hatha yoga and the many ways in which it has been adapted throughout the years.

Mark your calendar, details to come!

Ann Dyer is the director of Mountain Yoga and a member of the faculty of the Piedmont Yoga Deep Yoga teacher training and Graduate programs.  Ann's teaching includes attention to alignment established in her foundational training in Iyengar yoga as well as an appreciation of the energetic body cultivated through other schools of yoga, ayurveda, a degree in psychology and her extensive work in naada yoga, the yoga of sound.

Jin Sung is the Owner/Director of Oakland Yoga Studio and yoga teacher extraordinaire.  We give Jin Sung a big MYoga welcome, and are delighted that he has agreed to come to our studio while Ann is away in India.  Take advantage of this rare opportunity to benefit from Jin Sung's subtle and knowledgable teachings at MYoga!
