Getting Ready for Your First Class
Welcome! We're looking forward to meeting you. Here are a few things that will help make your first visit comfortable and enjoyable.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Bare feet are best.
What should I bring?
If you're coming to the studio, we'll provide everything you need, including mats, blankets, blocks, straps, bolsters, chairs, and other props. You're welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive about 10 minutes early for your first class. It gives you time to get settled, meet your teacher, and ask any questions before class begins.
I'm brand new to yoga. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Many of our students are beginners—or are returning to yoga after many years away. Our teachers are experienced at helping students practice safely and comfortably at their own pace.
What if I have an injury or physical limitation?
Please let your teacher know before class begins. We can almost always suggest ways to adapt the practice. The only requisite is that you are able to get down and back up from the floor.
