Baxter Bell's new series helps us find our legs — literally and figuratively — from the ground up. The legs are our greatest source of physical power. When we build power in the legs we develop both corporeal and emotional firmness to walk through tumultuous times. This session will address yoga poses and practices to increase power, mobility, and healthy alignment in the knees to keep a bounce in your step. Think of the mighty kick of a mule — that power is not coming from the feet or the knees....but from the hips, or haunches! Learn how to increase your power by developing hip strength and mobility through yoga. Sat 05.17 Power + Stability: Spine just added! Building on our "from the ground up" theme we see how the health of the spine and core grow directly out of the power of the legs. Learn how to further increase strength and stability of the spine and core through yoga. Sat 06.14 Power + Stability: The Upper Body just added! Few things feel more empowering than a little upper-body strength. The confidence to catch ourselves if we fall, the stability to protect our shoulders from injuries and routine wear-and-tear.
